Jonathan Wanderstock joined the department as Director of Athletics Advancement in March 2006.  Prior to his appointment, Wanderstock previously worked in Eugene, Oregon, where he served as assistant dean of development and external relations at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. Before that he was at the University of Colorado at Boulder for nearly five years as director of development for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The strategic plan he developed at Colorado resulted in the School’s first endowed chair. Wanderstock obtained bachelors’ degrees in public communications and management from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in sports administration from Penn State University. He is originally from Ithaca, New York.
