Scott Bauhs, who recently completely his collegiate running career at Chico State and will wrap up his degree this semester, is ranked No. 10 among all United States distance runners by Running Times Magazine. According to the
Running Times rankings, Bauhs moved into the top 10 due to his impressive win (and professional debut) at the Synaptics Elite 5K. This victory came less than a week after he won his final NCAA title at the Division II Cross Country Championships in Pennsylvania.
Bauhs' winning time in the Synaptics Elite 5K, 13:37 is tied for the 18th fastest 5K road time ever recorded by a U.S. runner. Only 12 U.S. runners have ever recorded a faster time.
