Two-time National Champion Scott Bauhs will be featured on CBS television Sunday, June 22.

Bauhs to be featured on CBS television Sunday at 11 a.m.

Aside from thet 2,000-plus fans who gathered to witness his breathtaking conquering of the four-minute mile on the Chico State track on April 13, few Chicoans have had the opportunity to watch Wildcats distance running phenom Scott Bauhs in action. But they'll get another crack at it Sunday morning, June 22, when Bauhs is featured on the CBS television show "NCAA Spring Championship Highlights" at 11 a.m., PST. The local CBS affiliate is KHSL TV Channel 12.

The hour-long show is dedicated to highlights of NCAA spring championships in Division I, Division II, and Division III. CBS put together a feature story on Bauhs for the episode. It will feature Bauhs helping teammate Charlie Serrano to the NCAA 5,000-meter title during Serrano's final NCAA race in the spring of 2007. It will also document Bauhs' pursuit of the same title this season. He went on to win the title and his second NCAA title.

The nation will get at least one more chance to see Bauhs in action this summer at the July 4 United States Olympic Trials when he will take aim at a spot in the 2008 Summer Olympics. His race will take place at 9:20 p.m., PST. More information will follow in the coming days here at chicowildcats.com.
