CHICO - The Chico State women’s soccer team faced its second Division I opponent in the last three days and though they’ve gained valuable experience in the exhibitions, the Wildcats are still looking for their first goal of 2008.

UC Davis beat the Wildcats at University Soccer Stadium on Sunday afternoon, 3-0, scoring a single goal in the first half and a pair in the second.

Chico State created a couple good scoring opportunities, but was unable to net a goal. The Aggies outshot the Wildcats 21-6, including 12-0 in the second half.

The Wildcats open their regular season at University Socer Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 28 with a 7 p.m. game against Notre Dame de Namur.

ARCATA - For the second time this season Humboldt State and Chico State played to a scoreless tie, neither team able to break through in a California Collegiate Athletic Association women’s soccer game played Friday. The Wildcats move to 7-9-3 overall and 3-7-3 in CCAA play, while the Lumberjacks now stand at 8-9-2 overall and 4-7-2 in the CCAA.

The Chico State women's soccer program is offering the Chico State Elite Girls High School Soccer Clinic on Sunday, December 14, 2008. The camp, open to 9th-12th graders will run from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at University Soccer Stadium. Cost is $70 per participant. The camp will be directed by Head Soccer Coach Kim Sutton and staff members.
