CHICO, Calif. – Chico State Athletic Director Anita Barker announced today that she is initiating a national search for Chico State’s next head softball coach following the resignation of Coach Jamie Brown.

“We wish Jamie well for the future, and will be moving quickly to find her replacement. We have high expectations for the quality of our softball program, and want to find the very best person possible to lead us next season,” said Barker.

Brown compiled a record of 59-98 in her three seasons as Chico State’s head coach.

The search for Chico State’s next softball coach will begin immediately.
