The Lakeshow AAU-to-Chico State pipeline keeps flowing and Chico State men's basketball coach Greg Clink couldn't be happier.
The Wildcats will ring in the New Year knowing that two more Lakeshow products are on the way. The same AAU team led by legendary Bay Area Coach Joe Fuca that sent Clink's Wildcats Rashad Parker, Jordan Barton and Nate Appel in the past, is the summer ball home of the Wildcats' latest two signings: Calvin Geraci and Spencer LaShells.
"We are really excited about Calvin and Spencer," Clink said. "Both are talented players and honor students with high character. We couldn't be happier to add them to the Wildcat family."
Geraci, a 6-foot-3 combo guard from San Marin High School, has led the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) in 3-pointers each of the past three seasons. He's made 197 threes in 88 varsity contests entering this season, while shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc.
Geraci is much more than just a shooter. He averaged 17.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.4 steals and nearly a blocked shot per game while leading San Marin to a 22-10 record and MCAL Championship as a junior last season.
"Calvin is a strong, athletic, and versatile guard who can play multiple perimeter positions," Clink said. "He plays for a great coach, Craig Pitti, at San Marin High School. We expect great things form Calvin when he puts on a Wildcat uniform."
Geraci garnered First Team All-MCAL honors and honorable mention All-Metro accolades from the San Francisco Chronicle last season.
An 82-percent prep free throw shooter, he averaged 14.3 points per game as a sophomore and 11.2 per game as a freshman.
LaShells, a 6-foot-10 forward/center, is the 29
th ranked player in Northern California according to NorCal Preps, who placed him ninth among power forwards.

LaShells averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a junior last season, helping to lead Monte Vista High School in Danville to East Bay Athletic League and North Coast Section titles.
"Spencer has outstanding potential," Clink said. "He has a great motor and is an extremely active rebounder. He has been taught by one of the best in Nick Jones at Monte Vista High School."
LaShells' Monte Vista squad is off to a 5-1 start. Geraci and San Marin are 6-2 after winning the Rose City Tournament hosted by Cardinal Newman last week. Geraci was named the Tournament's MVP.
