Wildcats and Lumberjacks tangle in NCAA West Region semifinals Saturday at 5:00

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Chico State Wildcats women’s basketball team has advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship Tournament West Regional, where the sixth-seeded Wildcats will take on the No.7 seed, California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) rival Humboldt State, Saturday beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Royal Brougham Pavilion. The winner will earn a spot in Monday’s tournament title game. Saturday’s other West Regional semifinal game pits No. 1 seed Seattle Pacific against fourth-seeded University of Alaska Anchorage. This will be the fourth time this season that Chico State and Humboldt State have met on the hardwood. The Wildcats won the two regular season matchups, with the Lumberjacks beating the ’Cat 85-55 last Saturday to win the CCAA Championship Tournament title.
Mike Baca, the Voice of the Wildcats, will be courtside providing the play-by-play of Saturday’s Chico State-Humboldt State game on ESPN 101.7 and 1340 AM locally, as well as on the Internet via the Wildcat Athletics website.
